As a significant part of the festivities, devotees will offer argha to the setting sun, culminating in a similar ritual dedicated to the rising sun on Monday morning to conclude the festival.

In the spirit of the occasion, tonight revelers will observe a fast, staying awake throughout the night to offer prayers as they eagerly await the dawn to honor the rising sun tomorrow morning.

The scenic banks of rivers, streams, and ponds throughout the country are adorned in vibrant decorations, enhancing the festive atmosphere in celebration of Chhath. The festival holds cultural and spiritual significance, with the belief that fasting in reverence to the Chhathi goddess will bring about desired outcomes and ensure the well-being of families, dispelling sorrows and troubles.
