Nepali Feature Film 'Tulki' to be Released on Friday

Kathamndu: A new Nepali feature film, Tulki, will be released across the country on Friday. The film is about the practice of polygamy, which is still prevalent in some areas of Nepal.

The film was shot in the far-flung human settlements of Se-Phoksundo, Tripurkot, Ralli and Karelikanda. It tells the story of a young woman who is brought up in a different community and reaches the upper area after having a love marriage with a boy from the upper area.

The film is directed by Devjung Thapa and stars Shishir Bangdel, Swastima Karki, Sophiya Limbu, Narendra Tamang, Som Lama, Shekhar Lama, Saujan Subba, Bhakta Singh Kathayat and Ranjan Prasad Neupane.

The film's producer, Shekhar Lama, said that the film is a social commentary on the practice of polygamy. He said that the film aims to raise awareness about the issue and to challenge the traditional norms and values that perpetuate it.

The film has been produced by The Palm Group Pvt Ltd. It is scheduled to be released in cinemas across Nepal on Friday.
