Japan Pledges Continued Support for Nepal’s Development

Lalitpur: Japan’s newly appointed Ambassador to Nepal, Toru Maeda, has reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to providing economic and technical assistance for Nepal’s development.
Speaking at a reception organized by the JICA Alumni Association of Nepal (JAAN) in his honor, Ambassador Maeda highlighted the long-standing friendly and harmonious relations between Nepal and Japan. He praised JAAN’s role in strengthening bilateral ties and expressed confidence that its members would continue contributing to Nepal’s development.
JAAN Chairperson Dr. Ramchandra Bhusal emphasized the association’s significant contributions over the past five decades, including the introduction of Japanese technology and support for Nepal’s economic growth.
The event was attended by JICA Nepal Resident Representative Mizuki Matsuzaki, senior government officials, JAAN members, and high-ranking representatives from the Japanese Embassy and JICA Nepal.
