Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has instructed the Ministry of Urban Development to accelerate the upgradation of Kirtipur Cricket Stadium.

During a briefing at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, PM Oli emphasized the need to speed up efforts to upgrade the stadium to international standards. The directive aligns with his earlier commitment to complete the stadium's upgradation within 300 days of assuming office.

Officials informed the Prime Minister that the contract signing for the upgradation project would take place soon, as the evaluation phase was nearing completion. The ministry had previously invited tenders for the construction of the stadium’s parapet and installation of floodlights.

The discussion was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh, along with other ministry officials.
