Bagmati: The Kantilokpath road connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu has been blocked after a flood washed away a temporary diversion on the Bagmati Bridge (Bagua Khola) early Monday.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Aryal, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Makawanpur, the river's water level rose suddenly due to rain, sweeping away the hosepipe-based diversion that had been allowing temporary traffic flow.
Repair work is underway to restore the diversion and resume normal traffic movement, Aryal said.
