NPL 2025: Chitwan Ends Biratnagar’s Winning Streak with 48-Run Victory

Kathmandu: Chitwan Rhinos halted Biratnagar Kings’ three-match winning streak with a commanding 48-run win in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2025 on Tuesday.
In the day-night fixture at the TU International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, Biratnagar were bowled out for 126 runs in 16.5 overs while chasing
Chitwan’s target of 175. Merchant de Lange top-scored for Biratnagar with 39 runs, followed by Pratish GC with 30.
Ranjit Kumar starred with the ball for Chitwan, taking 5 wickets, while Kamal Singh Airee claimed 2.
Earlier, put in to bat, Chitwan posted 174 for 5 in 20 overs. Ravi Bopara struck a solid half-century, scoring 65 runs, while Saif Zaib added 32 and Dev Khanal made 28. Captain Kushal Malla remained unbeaten on 20.
For Biratnagar, captain Sandeep Lamichhane and Merchant de Lange picked up 2 wickets each, with Shubham Ranjane taking one.
