Nepal Advances to ICC Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier Semifinals by Beating Qatar

Kathmandu: Nepal has secured a place in the semifinals of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers by defeating Qatar. In a match held today in Bangi, Malaysia, Nepal defeated Qatar by nine wickets, marking their fourth consecutive win in the tournament.

Previously, Nepal had emerged victorious against the host team Malaysia, Bahrain, and Bhutan. This latest win has guaranteed Nepal's spot in the semifinals, even before their last match in group 'A'.

Chasing a target of 75 runs for victory, Nepal reached the goal in 10.3 overs while losing just one wicket. Kajal Shrestha was the highest scorer for Nepal with 32 runs, while Indu Burma remained unbeaten with 20 runs.

Qatar, batting first after losing the toss, managed to score 74 runs in their allotted 20 overs, losing seven wickets. Indu Sharma took three wickets for Nepal, while Puja Mahato and Kabita Joshi each claimed a wicket.

Next, Nepal is scheduled to face UAE in the final match of the group phase on Wednesday.
