Election Office Established in Biratnagar for National Assembly Election

Morang: In preparation for the National Assembly (NA) election scheduled for January 25, the Election Officer's Office has been established in Biratnagar, which serves as the voting station for Koshi Province. The inauguration of the election office was carried out by Election Officer and Chief Judge of District Court Morang, Durga Prasad Dhungel.

Dhungel expressed confidence that all parties involved would cooperate in conducting the election peacefully. He announced plans to hold discussions soon with representatives of the 12 political parties registered with the Election Commission for the upcoming NA member election. The election in Koshi Province will determine two seats in the National Assembly, the upper house of the Federal Parliament.

A total of 367 individuals, including 93 Province Assembly members, 274 mayors and deputy mayors of metropolises, sub-metropolises, and municipalities, as well as chiefs and deputy chiefs of rural municipalities, will participate in the election.
