Five Major Parties Urge Against Disrupting Services at BPKIHS

Dharan (Sunsari): Five major political parties in Dharan, Sunsari, including Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), CPN (Maoist Centre), Janata Samajwadi Party, and CPN (Unified Socialist), issued a joint statement urging protestors not to disrupt health services at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS).

The political leaders from these parties warned protestors against negatively impacting health care and academic activities at BPKIHS. The doctors, teachers, and staff at BPKIHS have been on strike since January 9, demanding the prompt implementation of their promotion process.

While the protesting staff has closed down most services at BPKIHS, emergency services remain operational. The statement from the five parties requests the protestors to engage constructively, emphasizing ongoing efforts to implement agreements between BPKIHS administration and the protesting parties with the coordination and presence of the five political parties.
