Deputy Prime Minister Upendra Yadav Resigns from Government

Kathmandu: Upendra Yadav, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population, has officially resigned from his position today. In a morning meeting, he submitted his resignation letter to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.

Yadav, who also serves as the chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party, cited recent political developments as the reason behind his decision to step down. In his resignation letter, he expressed his inability to continue working within the current government setup, stating that the prevailing political landscape was not conducive for his participation. Additionally, he extended gratitude to the Prime Minister for the opportunity to serve in the government.

Concurrently, Minister of State for Health and Population Deepak Karki, representing the same party as Yadav, also tendered his resignation from office on the same day.

Yadav's resignation marks a significant development in Nepal's political scene and underscores ongoing shifts within the government.
