Kathmandu: The Nepali national cricket team returned home today after competing in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup group stage matches. Nepal, part of Group D, played four matches in the US and the West Indies.

Upon their arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), officials from the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) welcomed the team back.

In their opening match in the US, Nepal faced a six-wicket defeat to the Netherlands. The second match against Sri Lanka was canceled due to rain, resulting in both teams earning one point each. Nepal narrowly lost their third match to South Africa by a single run and were defeated by Bangladesh by 21 runs in their final match, leading to their elimination from the tournament.

Alongside Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Netherlands were also eliminated, while South Africa and Bangladesh advanced to the Super Eight stage.
