CPN (US) Earning Public Trust: Chair Nepal

Kathmandu: Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has stated that his party is gaining public trust due to its commitment to protecting the constitution and the republic. Addressing the 10th national general convention of the party on Sunday, Chairman Nepal emphasized that democracy in Nepal remains at risk and that the party needs to be mobilized for the people's benefit.

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba acknowledged the significant role the CPN (US) has played in safeguarding democracy, noting its importance in national politics. He expressed confidence that the veteran leaders within the CPN (US) would steer national politics in the right direction.

Honorable leader of the CPN (US), Jhalanath Khanal, highlighted the necessity of political competition for the country's development and good governance, underscoring the concepts of people's democracy and socialism.

Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane called for political unity to address issues such as employment, quality education, and problems within cooperatives.

Janamat Party Chairman CK Raut remarked that political leaders should exemplify ideal behavior in their actions.

Ashok Rai, Chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), stressed the need to amend the constitution to eradicate corruption and maintain the integrity of the current system.

Chitra Bahadur KC, Chairman of Rastriya Jana Morcha, urged the CPN (US) to dedicate itself to serving the people and the country.

Ranjita Shrestha, Chair of the Nagarik Unmukti Party, expressed hope that the CPN (US) convention would introduce new ideologies.
