Kathmandu: Rainfall is occurring across the country today due to the influence of monsoon winds. Most areas in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces are experiencing light to moderate rain, while rainfall is also happening in various parts of the rest of the country.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light to moderate rain is expected in many locations across all provinces this afternoon. There is a possibility of heavy rain in a few areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
Later tonight, the weather will be generally to completely cloudy nationwide, with the potential for light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places in Koshi and Madhesh provinces. Many areas in the other provinces will also see similar weather.
Heavy rain is likely in a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in one or two places in Madhesh province.
