FNCCI to Boost Start-Up Entrepreneurship with Rs 10 Billion Investment

Kathmandu: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has announced a significant push towards the development of start-up entrepreneurship in Nepal. During the inaugural session of the 'Startup Nation 2030' event, FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal revealed that an investment company with a capital of Rs 10 billion has been established under the federation's initiative to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.

This new company, which will operate autonomously, is set to invest in various ventures, aiming to foster a thriving environment for start-ups. Dhakal emphasized the importance of both foreign direct investment and domestic investment to drive the nation's economic development and prosperity. He highlighted that the investment company was created through institutional investment, underscoring FNCCI's commitment to supporting new business ventures.

In addition to financial investment, Dhakal proposed the establishment of an Incubation Centre and Innovation Centre specifically targeting youth entrepreneurs. He also mentioned that FNCCI, in collaboration with the Sudurpaschim Province Government and the Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has already initiated efforts to set up an Incubation Centre in the region, further demonstrating their dedication to nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs in Nepal.
