Kathmandu: The ongoing effects of monsoon winds are expected to bring partial rainfall across various parts of Nepal today. The Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology reports that the monsoon's low-pressure line is currently situated south of its average position in the western region and near the average location in the east.

The Division's morning bulletin indicates that the weather is partly to generally cloudy across the country, with light rain already occurring in a few areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Sudurpaschim provinces. The forecast suggests that light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at a few locations in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as at some spots in other provinces.

Tonight, the cloudy conditions are expected to persist nationwide, with light to moderate rain anticipated in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces. Heavy rainfall is particularly likely in one or two places within Koshi Province.

Given the possibility of heavy rainfall in Koshi and Karnali provinces, the Department has advised the public to exercise caution and stay alert to potential risks.
