Kathmandu: The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has forecast generally clear weather across much of the country, with some regions expected to experience light rainfall and thunderstorms. The current weather patterns are influenced by monsoon winds and a low-pressure system in northern Madhya Pradesh and southern Uttar Pradesh, India.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate rain, with occasional thunder and lightning, is expected in parts of the hilly regions, particularly in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There is also a possibility of wind storms in some areas of the Tarai region of Lumbini province. Tonight, the weather is forecast to be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions, with light to moderate rain likely in a few areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

In the next 24 hours, more light to moderate rain is expected in the hilly regions, with isolated rain in other parts of the country. Wind storms may affect parts of Lumbini and the Tarai region of Sudurpaschim province.
