PM Oli Meets Indian PM Modi in New York, Discusses Bilateral Relations

New York: Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, currently attending the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, held a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday. The leaders discussed various matters of bilateral interest, including enhancing cooperation and mutual benefits between Nepal and India.

Accompanied by their respective Foreign Ministers and delegation members, both Prime Ministers emphasized the importance of strengthening people-to-people connections and trade ties between the neighboring countries.

PM Oli's Meetings with Bhutan and Kuwait PMs

In addition to his meeting with PM Modi, Prime Minister Oli met with Bhutan's Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay at Nepal's Permanent Mission to the United Nations. Their discussions focused on expanding collaboration in bilateral and multilateral forums. Bhutan's PM Tobgay highlighted Nepal's significance as the birthplace of Gautam Buddha and praised its role as the Chair of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs). PM Oli assured further support to foster trade and people-to-people ties between Nepal and Bhutan.

Later, PM Oli also held talks with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, at Kuwait’s Permanent Mission. The meeting reinforced the strong diplomatic relations between Nepal and Kuwait.
