PM Oli Arrives in Beijing for Official Visit

Beijing (China): Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli arrived in Beijing today on a four-day official visit at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang. He was welcomed at the Beijing Capital International Airport by Chinese Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Sun Weidong.

During his visit from December 2-5, Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and hold talks with Premier Li Qiang to discuss matters of mutual interest, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Additionally, PM Oli will meet Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, and address a program at Peking University. He will also speak at the Nepal-China Business Forum, jointly organized by the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Accompanying the Prime Minister is a high-level delegation that includes Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, PM's Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Economic and Development Advisor Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada, parliamentarians, senior government officials, private sector representatives, and media personnel.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to return to Nepal on December 5.
