Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued a special bulletin predicting rainfall and snowfall across Nepal from Friday evening due to a westerly disturbance.

The Weather Forecasting Division stated that the westerly low-pressure system would bring partly to generally cloudy skies across most regions. Light to moderate snowfall is expected in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, along with parts of Gandaki, Bagmati, and Koshi provinces, from Friday afternoon to Saturday.

In addition, light rain is likely in various parts of the country during this period. The department has also cautioned that temperatures could drop further as the new weather pattern develops.

Residents, particularly in the affected high-altitude areas, are advised to take necessary precautions against the cold and potential disruptions caused by the weather.
