CAN Releases New Central Contract for National Players

Kathmandu: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has released a new central contract for national team players, covering both male and female cricketers. The contract categorizes players into different grades based on their performances, with corresponding monthly salaries.

According to the list published by CAN on Wednesday, five male players have been included in the 'A' grade category:

-Rohit Kumar Paudel (Captain)
-Dipendra Singh Airee
-Sandeep Lamichhane
-Sompal Kami
-Asif Sheikh
These players will receive a monthly salary of Rs 100,000 each.

In 'B' grade, the selected players are:

-Karan KC
-Kushal Bhurtel
-Gulshan Jha
-Lalit Rajbanshi
-Anil Sah
They will be paid Rs 70,000 monthly.

The 'C' grade list includes:

-Sandeep Jora
-Arif Sheikh
-Bhim Sarki
-Kushal Malla
They will receive Rs 55,000 per month.

Twelve players are listed under 'D' grade and will receive Rs 35,000 each. These include:

-Sagar Dhakal
-Lokesh Bam
-Sahab Alam
-Akash Chand
-Bibek Yadav
-Surya Tamang
-Rijan Dhakal
-Dev Khanal
-Basir Ahmed
-Pratish GC
-Abhinash Bohora
-Mayan Yadav

Seven male players have been listed as Emerging Players, each receiving Rs 25,000 per month. They are:

-Arjun Gharti
-Hemant Dhami
-Dipesh Kandel
-Rupesh Singh
-Arjun Kumal
-Shubh Kanshakar
-Santosh Yadav

For the women’s national team, four players have been placed in 'A' grade, earning Rs 50,000 monthly:

-Indu Berma (Captain)
-Rubina Chhetri
-Sita Rana Magar
-Puja Mahato
Kabita Joshi has been listed in 'B' grade, with a monthly salary of Rs 35,000, while Kabita Kunwar and Samjhana Khadka are in 'C' grade, each receiving Rs 25,000.

The 'D' grade category for women includes:

-Bindu Rawal
-Alisha Kumari Yadav
-Riya Sharma
-Sana Prabin
-Simana KC
-Sabitri Dhami
-Roma Thapa
-Ishwori Bista
-Krishma Gurung
-Jyantika Marasini
-Rachana Kumari Chaudhary
-Manish Kumari Upadhyay
These players will receive Rs 20,000 monthly.

CAN stated that this contract will remain in effect for the next six months. A new central contract will be drafted afterward based on the players' performance during this period.
