Asia’s GDP Expected to Grow 4.5% in 2025: Boao Forum Report

Boao: Asia’s economy is projected to grow at a real GDP rate of 4.5% in 2025, up from 4.4% in 2024, according to a report released Tuesday by the Boao Forum for Asia.

The report, titled Asian Economic Outlook and Integration Progress, highlights Asia’s resilience despite increasing global economic uncertainty. It underscores the region’s role as a key driver of global economic growth.

At purchasing power parity, Asia’s share of the global GDP is expected to rise from 48.1% in 2024 to 48.6% in 2025, reinforcing the region’s growing economic influence.

The report also notes a positive trend in employment and income levels across Asia. The unemployment rate is forecasted at 4.39% in 2025, which is lower than the global average of 4.96%, signaling strong labor market recovery and economic stability.

The findings highlight Asia’s continued momentum as a major economic powerhouse, despite ongoing global challenges.
