Business Community Demanded Reform, Says Revenue Secretary

Revenue Secretary Bhupal Baral highlighted that the introduction of the database system aligns with the long-standing demand of businesspersons seeking improvements in customs processes.

“The responsibility of maintaining good governance lies with both the private sector and the government. Encouraging legitimate trade is everyone’s duty,” he said.

System Aligned With International Standards

Director General of the Department of Customs, Shyam Prasad Bhandari, shared that collaboration with local administrations has been strengthened to curb customs leakage.
