Gold and Silver Prices Rise in Nepali Market

Kathmandu: The prices of gold and silver increased in the domestic market on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

According to the Nepal Gold Silver Gems and Jewellery Federation, the price of gold rose by Rs 2,700 per tola compared to last Friday. With this increase, hallmark gold was traded at Rs 299,200 per tola, up from Rs 296,500.

In terms of weight, 10 grams of gold was priced at Rs 256,515 on Sunday.

Silver prices also saw a rise, increasing by Rs 50 per tola. The price of silver reached Rs 4,995 per tola, compared to Rs 4,945 last Friday. Similarly, 10 grams of silver was traded at Rs 4,283.

Despite the recent increase, prices remain below their peak recorded on Magh 15, when gold reached Rs 339,300 per tola and silver climbed to Rs 7,505.

Market analysts suggest that fluctuations in the international market continue to influence local gold and silver prices in Nepal.
