Tragic Mugu Jeep Accident Claims Four Lives from Humla District

Mugu: A devastating jeep accident in Mugu has resulted in the unfortunate loss of four lives, all hailing from Humla district. The incident occurred on Monday evening at Sipkopahira in Mugu, when a jeep with license plate number Ga 1 Ja 7762, en route from Shorukot to Mugu, met with a tragic accident.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mahesh Basnet, stationed in Mugu, confirmed the grim details. Among the victims, two individuals lost their lives on the spot, while the other two, despite receiving medical attention at Tarapani Basic Health Post, succumbed to their injuries.

The deceased have been identified as Ram Pariyar, a resident of Sharkegad Rural Municipality-2, and Prakash Bohara from Simkot Rural Municipality-2. The identities of the remaining two victims are yet to be fully established, indicating the somber process of confirming the loss.

The ill-fated jeep was carrying a total of nine passengers, including the driver. Among the survivors, three individuals, along with the driver, sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. DSP Basnet stressed the urgent need for advanced medical treatment to address the severity of their injuries.

The tragedy has cast a shadow of grief over the region, as the lives lost in this heart-wrenching accident were all from the Humla district. The local authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident to determine the cause and sequence of events that led to this unfortunate accident.
