Humla: Nepal Telecom has successfully brought 4G internet connectivity to the remote Limi village in Humla district, marking a significant milestone in digital access for the region. This advancement extends the reach of 4G internet to the villages of Til, Jang, and Haljika within the Namkha Rural Municipality in Humla.
After a dedicated effort spanning three years involving various stakeholders, the 4G internet service was inaugurated, elevating the communication and connectivity prospects of the local populace. Paljor Tamang, Chairman of Namkha Rural Municipality-6, emphasized the positive impact this development brings, enabling seamless communication with individuals residing abroad and across different parts of the nation.
The achievement was realized through the establishment of a 4G tower situated at an impressive altitude of 4,600 meters. To ensure sustainability, solar panels have been installed at the site to power the infrastructure. This accomplishment follows a previous provision of internet services by a private company in the Haljigaun region of Limi.
The introduction of 4G internet to this remote area not only opens new avenues for communication but also paves the way for enhanced access to information, education, and various online services for the local residents.
