Nepali Cricket Team Sets Off to Pakistan for Asia Cup

Kathmandu: The men's national cricket team is embarking on a journey to Pakistan tonight to take part in the Asia Cup Cricket tournament, co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 30 to September 17.
This marks Nepal's debut participation in the Asia Cup, and the team has been placed in Group 'A' alongside India and Pakistan. Group 'B' consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. Nepal's initial group match will be played in Pakistan, followed by the second match in Sri Lanka against Pakistan and India, respectively.
The opening match between Nepal and Pakistan is slated for August 31. Similarly, Nepal's second match against India is set to take place on September 4.
