Nepal Set to Face Yemen in Crucial World Cup Qualifier

Kathmandu: Nepal is gearing up for a crucial match against Yemen today, marking a pivotal encounter in the joint selection process for the FIFA World Cup 2026 second round and AFC Asia Cup 2027.
The match is scheduled to take place at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar, commencing at 7:00 pm local time.
As part of Group H in the second round of World Cup Asia Qualifiers, Nepal faces tough competition from the UAE, Bahrain, and Yemen. In the previous match held in Dubai on November 16, Nepal suffered a 0-4 defeat against the UAE.
In the FIFA rankings, Nepal holds the 173rd position, while Yemen is ranked 156th.
