Nepal's Tourism Promotion Event Held in Bangkok

Kathmandu: The Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok, in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), organized a Tourism Promotion program in Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday.

The event saw participation from a total of 75 companies, including 25 travel and tour operators from Nepal and 50 from Thailand. Representatives from Nepal Airlines Corporation, Thai Airways, Thai Lion Air, officials from the Thailand government, business entrepreneurs, media persons, members of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, and others also attended.

Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand, Dhan Bahadur Oli, addressed the participants, urging them to explore the business potential within Nepal's tourism industry. He highlighted Nepal as an all-season destination suitable for various categories of travelers, including those interested in cultural and heritage sites, nature, pilgrimage, adventure, leisure, sports, and jungle safaris.

The Embassy of Nepal in Thailand emphasized that such business meetings offer valuable opportunities for networking, partnership development, and information sharing between the business communities of both countries to fully tap into tourism potential.

The event featured Vitidnan Rojanapanich, the first Everest summiteer from Thailand in 2008 and President of the Thai-Nepal Friendship Association, who shared his experiences about Nepal and the Himalayas. Additionally, Nabin Pokharel from NTB presented on "Experience Nepal: Lumbini to Himalayan Bliss," highlighting Nepal's major touristic attractions.
