Santoo and Manita to Carry Nepali National Flag at Paris Olympics

Kathmandu: Table tennis player Santoo Shrestha and judo player Manita Shrestha Pradhan have been chosen to jointly carry the Nepali national flag during the march pass at the upcoming 33rd Olympic Games. The event will be held in Paris, France, from July 26 to August 11.

The Nepal Olympic Committee announced that the two athletes will lead a seven-member delegation representing Nepal in this prestigious sports event. Alongside Santoo Shrestha and Manita Shrestha Pradhan, the delegation includes badminton player Prince Dahal, shooter Susmita Nepal, swimmers Alexander Shah and Subana Lama, and athlete Santoshi Shah.

The coaches accompanying the Nepali athletes are Pradeep Khati (shooting), Rajendra Kapali (table tennis), Debu Thapa (judo), Kanti Kumari Mahato Yadav (athletics), and Nayana Shakya (swimming). Unfortunately, badminton player Prince Dahal will have to compete without a coach, but Nabisman Pradhan will be present as the team doctor.

Most of the Nepali athletes have already arrived in Paris to prepare for their competitions. Minister for Youth and Sports, Tejulal Chaudhary, along with Nepal Olympic Committee's Chairperson, Jeevanram Shrestha, and other officials, are scheduled to attend the opening ceremony.
