Tenth National Games Confirmed for February in Surkhet

Kathmandu: The Tenth National Games will be held as scheduled in February in Surkhet, Karnali Province, announced Minister for Youth and Sports, Tejulal Chaudhary, during a meeting of the National Assembly's Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee today.
Minister Chaudhary reassured the committee of the government’s commitment to organizing the event at the predetermined time and venue, as outlined in its 2080-81 BS policy and program.
Highlighting the importance of the games, the Sports Minister also emphasized the government's dedication to the social security and welfare of Nepal's sportspersons.
During the discussion, Members of Parliament, including Padam Pariyar, Madan Kumari Shah, and Sumitra BC, urged the government to adhere to the stipulated timeline and venue for the national games, underscoring the importance of stability and planning for such a significant event.
Suman Aryal, Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, added that the Ministry is striving to integrate sports with education, culture, and other social sectors to enhance its impact across the country.
The 10th National Games are anticipated to showcase talent from across Nepal and promote the Karnali Province as a hub for sports and development.
