Kathmandu: A Buddha Air flight from Janakpur to Kathmandu was cancelled on Sunday after a mouse was spotted on board the aircraft. The flight, which was scheduled to depart at 9:15 am, was carrying 49 passengers.

The passengers spotted the mouse as the aircraft was preparing to take off. The pilot then decided to cancel the flight and have the aircraft checked by engineers.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) said that the aircraft was checked by a team of engineers and no technical problems were found. However, the flight was not allowed to take off until the mouse was removed.

The passengers were then taken to Kathmandu on another Buddha Air flight.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety of air travel in Nepal. CAAN said that it is investigating the matter and will take necessary action to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

In a statement, Buddha Air said that it regrets the inconvenience caused to the passengers. The airline said that it is committed to providing safe and reliable air travel to its passengers.
