Hitendra Man Shakya Takes Oath as NEA Executive Director

Kathmandu: Newly-appointed Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Hitendra Man Shakya, has officially taken the oath of office today. The oath was administered by Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, Deepak Khadka, at the ministry.
Shakya's appointment was confirmed during a Council of Ministers meeting held on Monday. He has been appointed for a four-year term as per Clause 27(1) of the Nepal Electricity Authority Act, 2041 BS.
On the occasion, Minister Khadka instructed the newly-appointed Executive Director and concerned authorities to take immediate action in recovering outstanding dues owed to the NEA by industrialists. He also emphasized the need to address ongoing power outages and ensure a stable electricity supply.
Expressing his commitment to his new role, Shakya vowed to lead the NEA towards greater success with determination and efficiency.
