Nepal Police Club Clinches PM Cup Men's Cricket Title

Bhairahawa: Nepal Police Club has won the Prime Minister Cup Men's National Cricket Tournament, defeating Tribhuvan Army Club by six wickets in the final held at Siddhartha Cricket Stadium, Bhairahawa.

Chasing a 155-run target, Nepal Police secured victory in 25.2 overs, losing only four wickets. Kushal Bhurtel led the charge with 61 runs off 70 balls, while Amit Shrestha contributed 39 runs and Dilip Nath remained unbeaten at 31 runs. Sahab Alam took three wickets, and Naren Saud claimed one for Tribhuvan Army.

Batting first, Tribhuvan Army Club was bowled out for 154 runs in 43 overs. Basir Ahmed top-scored with 86 runs off 104 balls, while Captain Binod Bhandari (29) and Bibek Yadav (11) were the only other contributors.

Nepal Police’s Karan KC and Sagar Dhakal each took three wickets, while Captain Dipendra Singh Airee claimed two, and Lalit Rajbanshi and Gulshan Jha took one wicket each.

The tournament featured 10 teams, including the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force departmental teams.
