PM Oli to Visit Thailand for Official Talks and BIMSTEC Summit

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to leave for Thailand on Tuesday (April 1) for a five-day official visit at the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra. This marks the first-ever official visit by a Nepali Prime Minister to Thailand. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, PM Oli will be accompanied by his spouse, Radhika Shakya.
During his visit, PM Oli is scheduled to hold official talks with Prime Minister Shinawatra, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations between Nepal and Thailand. The discussions are expected to cover areas of economic cooperation, trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges.
Following his bilateral engagements, PM Oli will lead the Nepali delegation to the Sixth BIMSTEC Summit, hosted by the Government of Thailand on April 4 in Bangkok. The Prime Minister will address the Summit, highlighting Nepal’s priorities in regional cooperation. Additionally, he is expected to hold bilateral meetings with other BIMSTEC leaders on the sidelines of the event.
The Nepali delegation includes senior officials such as Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, Chief Adviser Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Economic and Development Adviser Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada, Chief Secretary Ekanarayan Aryal, and Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai.
PM Oli is scheduled to return to Nepal on April 5.
