Nepali Embassy in Bangkok Warns Against Fraudulent Job Offers Abroad

Kathmandu: The Nepali Embassy in Bangkok has issued a warning to Nepali citizens, urging them to avoid traveling to countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand under the false promise of lucrative job opportunities.
In a notice released by the Embassy, it highlighted that many Nepalis have fallen victim to exploitation and illegal activities after being lured by deceptive employment offers in these nations.
The advisory comes after the successful repatriation of a Nepali citizen who had been tricked into traveling to Myanmar with promises of an attractive job. The individual was forced into illegal work but managed to escape to Thailand, where Thai authorities assisted in his return to Nepal last Friday.
The Embassy emphasized the importance of following legal procedures and securing valid labor permits for foreign employment. It also urged citizens to remain cautious and avoid fraudulent job schemes that could lead to dangerous and exploitative situations.
