Kathmandu: The Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast continued rainfall across Nepal for the next three days, due to the combined influence of westerly and local winds.
Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari reported that light to heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is occurring in most regions, and the trend is expected to persist. He added that cloudy skies will prevail across the country, with intermittent showers likely in all provinces.
The current weather conditions are attributed to the partial influence of westerly and local winds, as well as moisture-laden air flowing in from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. This combination is typical during the pre-monsoon season, especially in the evenings, according to Adhikari.
The Division has urged the public to remain cautious, as light to moderate rainfall with lightning, thunder, and gusty winds may impact daily life, agriculture, health, and both road and air transportation.
Citizens are advised to take necessary safety measures and make adequate preparations to minimize disruptions caused by the changing weather.
