Cloudy Weather Across Nepal; Rain and Snowfall Likely in Hilly and Mountain Areas

Kathmandu: The weather across Nepal remains cloudy due to the partial influence of westerly and local winds, along with moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, hilly regions are expected to experience partly to generally cloudy conditions this afternoon, while the rest of the country will see clear to partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in some hilly areas and isolated spots elsewhere.
There is also a chance of light rain and snowfall in a few high hilly and mountainous regions.
Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country, including Madhes, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. The rest of the country will see mostly clear to partly cloudy skies.
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in hilly areas of several provinces, while light precipitation and snowfall may occur in high-altitude regions.
