Kathmandu: President Ram Chandra Poudel has called on all political parties to cooperate in ensuring the successful conduct of the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.
In a statement issued on Saturday, President Poudel urged all stakeholders to make good use of the opportunity provided by the Bado Jukti and hold the election in a manner that respects the will of the people.
Call for Peaceful Democratic Process
“After difficult efforts, a peaceful outcome has emerged in the extremely uncomfortable, hostile and frightening situation of the country,” Poudel said. “The constitution has been preserved, the parliamentary system has been preserved, and the federal democratic republic has been maintained.”
He emphasized that holding the election within six months will give the Nepali people an opportunity to move forward on the path of a more advanced democracy, urging political actors to act responsibly and ensure a fair, peaceful, and participatory process.
