Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has stressed the need to eliminate nepotism, favoritism and patronage in political and economic opportunities across the country.

Speaking at a program organized by the Indigenous Peoples Upliftment Foundation in Kathmandu on Sunday, Prime Minister Karki recalled the Gen-G movement and said its core demands reflected the youth’s call for good governance and prosperity.

She stated that Gen-G’s demand to end nepotism and favoritism in politics and the economy represents a broader aspiration for inclusive development and equal justice. Emphasizing equitable growth, the Prime Minister said development based on equal access and participation of all classes and communities would be sustainable and contribute to strengthening the nation.
