Bharatpur: The Road Division has announced that it will require approximately five to six hours to restore normal two-way traffic on the Narayangadh-Muglin roadway, which was blocked due to a landslide last night.

The landslide, which occurred at Namsi around 8:00 pm on Monday, led to a road obstruction, according to engineer Chandeshwor Saha, the Information Officer at the Road Division. To address this issue, four substantial pieces of equipment were employed to clear away the debris.

Despite the equipment being deployed since 10:00 pm to eliminate the blockage, a complete resolution is expected to take an additional six hours. As of now, only around 30 percent of the debris has been successfully removed, as reported by Inspector Bishal Tamang, the head of the Area Police Office Muglin.

Due to the landslide triggered by heavy rainfall, numerous vehicles, including passenger buses, have become stranded at various points along the roadway. Vehicles traveling from Kathmandu are halted at Muglin, Kurintar, Phisling, and Dhading. Similarly, vehicles coming from the east-west highway are stuck at Bharatpur, Gaindakot, and Nawalpur.
