Nepal's National and Constitution Day Celebrated Abroad

Kathmandu: Reports of the celebration of Nepal's National Day and Constitution Day on September 20 by Nepal's diplomatic missions abroad have been received.

Cairo, Egypt: The Embassy of Nepal in Cairo celebrated the occasion by organizing a Ceremony and Reception in Cairo. Vice-Minister for Tourism of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Ghada Shalaby, attended as Chief Guest. Ambassador Sushil K Lamsal highlighted the historic significance of Nepal's constitution and the strong Nepal-Egypt relations. Egyptian summiteers of Mt Everest, Manal Rostom and Sharief al-Abd, shared their experiences. Over 120 attendees graced the reception.

Canberra, Australia: The Embassy of Nepal Canberra hosted a reception on the National Day (Constitution Day) of Nepal in Canberra, Australia. Distinguished guests included Members of Parliament of Australia, Deputy Secretary and higher-ranking officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT) of Australia, Ambassadors/High Commissioners, representatives from Australian Government organizations, Mountaineers, Nepali Honorary Consul Generals, and Nepali community leaders. Ambassador Kailash Raj highlighted Nepal's constitutional development and the importance of the federal system. He also stressed the friendly and cooperative relations between Nepal and Australia.

Brasilia, Brazil: The Embassy of Nepal in Brasilia, Brazil, organized a special function to mark the Constitution Day and the National Day of Nepal. Ambassador Nirmal Raj Kafle highlighted Nepal's achievements since the promulgation of the constitution in 2015, emphasizing socio-economic transformation and the need for economic development. Everton Lucero, Director for South Asia and South East Asia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brazil, congratulated the audience and reaffirmed Brazil's commitment to working closely with Nepal. The event saw a large number of guests, including officials from the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the diplomatic community, business organizations, media, and friends of Nepal.

These celebrations abroad reflect Nepal's commitment to strengthening international ties and fostering goodwill among nations.
