Mahendranagar (Dhanusha): In anticipation of the Shree Sitaram Vivah Panchami Mahotsav festival, the District Administration Office in Dhanusha has imposed a three-day prohibition on the selling and distribution of fish, meat, and alcohol in Janakpurdham.
According to an official notice issued today, the prohibition will be in effect from 12 midnight on December 14 until midnight on December 17. The decision was made during a meeting of the District Security Committee to ensure the celebration of the week-long Vivah Panchami festival in a safe, peaceful, dignified, and harmonious environment.
Administrative Officer Bishwa Bijaya Sharma stated that the move is aimed at fostering a conducive atmosphere for the festival. Chief District Officer Chakrapani Pandey elaborated on the strict measures, highlighting the prohibition of slaughtering animals and birds, as well as the transportation, sale, and distribution of fish and meat. Additionally, the sale, supply, and consumption of alcohol are strictly forbidden within the Parikrama zone and on either side of the Parikrama Road in Janakpurdham during this period.
The District Administration Office warned of legal action against those violating the edict, emphasizing the importance of compliance to ensure the smooth and respectful observance of the Shree Sitaram Vivah Panchami Mahotsav festival.
