Kathmandu: The International Calendar Decision Committee has officially announced the auspicious Tika timings for Vijayadashami for Nepalis and Vedic Sanatan Hindus living in different parts of the world. The announcement was made by the committee’s member secretary Acharya Laxman Panthi at a meeting held in Kathmandu.

Timings Based on Local Standards

Panthi said the decision was made considering requests from Nepalis living abroad who had inquired about the auspicious timing for offering Tika during Dashain. The timings are based on local date and time standards of each country.

Auspicious Time for Nepal and Other Major Cities

Committee chairman Prof. Dr. Madhav Bhattarai announced that the auspicious time for Nepal is 11:53 AM on October 16.
