Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is gearing up to host an Information Technology Conference in the upcoming Nepali month of Chaitra. While the exact date is yet to be finalized, the conference aims to enhance the delivery of easy, convenient, and technology-based public services to KMC residents, according to Nabin Manandhar, the spokesperson at KMC.

The primary agenda of the conference is to explore ways to integrate innovation, the latest technology, and progressive thinking, involving youths, stakeholders, and the international community. Spokesperson Manandhar emphasized the need for KMC to formulate policies, plans, and programs to institutionalize achievements, ensuring a responsible, transparent, and responsive government.

"The recommendations gathered from the conference and the summary will aid in policy formulation, allowing KMC to provide technology-based public services to its residents," stated the spokesperson. The conference aims to promote digital inclusiveness at the policy, governance, and community levels, reaching sectors such as social, private enterprises, industries, and commerce.

Interactive workshops involving specialists and stakeholders will facilitate the exchange of ideas and knowledge on leveraging technologies for operational optimization and efficiency creation. Various presentations and discussions will cover topics like government-employed technologies for good governance, public service delivery, IT accessibility among service-seekers, interrelation among government entities, stakeholders, and public offices, and the use and expansion of IT.

The event will serve as a networking platform for IT professionals, entrepreneurs, youths, and government entities, fostering collaboration and innovation in the field.
