Kathmandu: The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has raised objections to a notice issued by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd, which restricts the recording of the 'Ganga Aarati' ritual on the Bagmati riverbank at the Pashupatinath Aryaghat area and the lighting of lamps in the core area.

In a notice issued today, PADT's Managing Council Executive Director, Laxmi Pun, expressed serious concerns about the notice published by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd. The notice from Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd stated that capturing videos of the Ganga Aarati and lamp lighting in the specified areas is strictly prohibited. Additionally, it warned of legal action under the Digital Copyright Act if the video contents are commercially shared on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

PADT clarified that it disapproves of the notice issued by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd and emphasized that the Trust has no association with the notice, including the use of the PADT logo and name. The objection from PADT aims to clarify its stance and dissociate itself from the restrictions mentioned in the notice issued by Budha Subba Digital Pvt Ltd.
