Kathmandu: President Ramchandra Paudel has called upon the top leaders of the three major political parties to unite and work collaboratively in addressing pressing issues facing the nation.
The President emphasized the need for collective efforts to strengthen the democratic system and tackle critical challenges confronting the country.
In a meeting with Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', main opposition party CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli, and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba, President Paudel highlighted key areas for attention. These areas included the effective implementation of federalism, governance improvement, and reforming the country's oldest university.
Press advisor Kiran Pokharel shared that President Paudel specifically urged the leaders to expedite the formulation of laws granting authority to provinces for implementing federalism. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of maintaining good governance to ensure justice for those in need.
President Paudel also urged leaders to seize the opportunity to initiate reforms at Tribhuvan University by appointing a competent Vice-Chancellor. The leaders reportedly received the President's suggestions positively during the meeting. The call for collaboration reflects a shared responsibility among political leaders to address critical issues for the betterment of the nation.
