Commission Submits Gold Smuggling Report to Government

Kathmandu: The Inquiry Commission on Gold Smuggling handed over its findings to the government. Today, Commission Chairperson Dilli Raj Acharya submitted the report to Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs Minister, Rabi Lamichhane.

Assuring action based on the recommendations, the Home Minister pledged to implement the report's suggestions. He emphasized the government's commitment to holding accountable any individuals or entities responsible for lapses in handling the issue.

The Commission, established by the government on October 2, 2023, is headed by former judge Dilli Raj Acharya and includes Sahakul Bahadur Thapa, Kishore Jung Karki, and Prem Raj Joshi as its members.
