Nepal Suffers Defeat Against UAE in World Cup Football Qualifiers

Kathmandu: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) secured a decisive victory over Nepal in the second round of the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers on Thursday. The match, held at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Saudi Arabia, saw UAE triumph with a 4-0 scoreline.

UAE took an early lead, scoring two goals in the first half and adding two more in the second half. Harib Abdallah Almusherakh was the standout player for UAE, netting two goals, while Ali Saleh and Hazem Mohammad each contributed one goal.

This victory places UAE at the top of Group H, having accumulated 15 points from five consecutive wins. In contrast, Nepal remains at the bottom of the group, having lost all five of their matches. Nepal is set to play its final match against Yemen on June 11.
