President Paudel Arrives in Germany for Official Visit

Berlin: President of Nepal, Ramchandra Paudel, arrived in Berlin on Saturday for an official visit to Germany at the invitation of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Upon his arrival at Berlin-Brandenburg International Airport, President Paudel was welcomed by Nepal's Ambassador to Germany, Ram Kaji Khadka, alongside senior officials from Germany's Federal Foreign Office and the Office of the President. The Embassy of Nepal in Berlin confirmed the warm reception.

Accompanying President Paudel on this significant visit are his spouse, Sabita Paudel, Foreign Affairs Expert Dr. Suresh Chandra Chalise, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal, Secretary at the Office of the President Dilliram Sharma, and other senior officials from Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the President.

This visit marks the first official trip by a Head of State from Nepal to Germany since 1986. President Paudel and his German counterpart are scheduled to hold official talks on Monday, as announced by the Embassy.

Nepal and Germany established diplomatic relations in 1958, and this visit is expected to further strengthen the ties between the two nations. President Paudel's itinerary includes high-level discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation.

President Paudel is scheduled to return to Nepal on June 19.
