Committee Formed to Address Federal Parliament Staff Demands

Kathmandu: The government has established a three-member committee to address the demands of the employees of the Federal Parliament Secretariat. The committee will be coordinated by Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Padam Giri.

The decision was made during a meeting initiated by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' at his official residence in Baluwatar. Federal Parliament Secretary-General Padma Prasad Pandey and Finance Secretary Madhu Kumar Marasini have been appointed as members of the committee.

The meeting was attended by key political figures, including Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal, former Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chair KP Sharma Oli, Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun, and Minister Giri. Chief Secretary Dr. Baikuntha Aryal and Secretary-General Pandey also participated in the discussions.

According to Shekhar Adhikari, the Speaker's press advisor, Speaker Ghimire has been actively engaging in formal and informal meetings with relevant bodies to address the concerns raised by the Federal Parliament employees.
